The recently published book by Renzo Tommasi to be launched in Trentino at Isera, 25th May, 2009. Father Bertagnolli will be present at the book launch as a special guest.

Visit – Pilgrimage to Father Angelo Confalonieri’s burial site, Port Essington, Northern Territoy.

 

Father Angelo Confalonieri - the First Trentino in Australia (and the first Italian in Northern Territory).

The visit is scheduled for the last week in July 2009. Expressions of interest from anyone interested in making up a group from Australia will close by 24th May 2009.

10th National Trentini Convention – Melbourne, VIC

 

The 10th National Trentini Convention was held recently in Melbourne (Victoria) during 24th to the 26th of April 2009. The theme of the convention was "Trentini d'origine... cittadini del mondo". It was organised and hosted by the Circolo Trentino of Melbourne.

 

We would like to thank Pio Fedrizzi and his great team committee for organising an enjoyable and great event. We thank them for the opportunity to catch up with many an old (and young) Trentino paesano and the chance to share stories and all the latest news.

Vice-President of the Regional Counsel of Trentino Alto-Adige

visiting the 10th National Trentini Convention in Melbourne

 

Dr. Luigi Chiocchetti, the Vice-President of the Regional Counsel of Trentino Alto-Adige will be representing the regional government at this years 10th National Convention in Melbourne.

New book launched in Australia - “Dalla Paganella a UIuru”

Stories of Trentino migration in Australia - 1846 – 2009

It was officially released and presented to the Australian Trentino community at the 10th National Trentini Convention held in Melbourne (Victoria) 24-26 April, 2009.

The book is a detailed research on Trentino migration to Australia, covering 150 years of history thanks to the accounts of actual migrants and of their descendants.

This book is edited and written in both Italian and English. Pages are two column format – left column Italian, right column English.

New President & Vice President of the Associazione Trentini nel Mondo visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns and Perth.

 

The new President, Alberto Tafner and Vice-President Maria Carla Failo are will be visiting Melbourne for the Convention and then stopping over in Sydney for a few days after the Convention, before travelling to Cairns and then finally Perth.
